Thoughts Of Peace, Words Of Peace

Have you heard of the research done by Dr Masaru Emoto on water?

Most of our bodies consist of water, approximately 70%, the same ratio of water on the earth. Dr Emoto's research consist of studying the effects, thoughts, words, music, environment and other variables have on the molecular structure of water.

What he found was, that when positive thoughts and words or intentions were focussed on a specific water sample, the molecular structure of that water would create beautiful, perfect water crystals. (see below, water crystal)

Whereas, water where negative thoughts and words were focussed on had a 'deforming' effect on the water molecules, and distorted water crystals were photographed.

The implications of this research create a new awareness of how we can positively impact the earth and our ourselves, our health and our mind.

In the words of Dr Emoto, "...Water has a very important message for us. Water is telling us to take a much deeper look at our selves. When we do look at our selves through the mirror of water, the message becomes amazingly, crystal, clear..."

When I learnt of this research for the first time I was quite startled to see that thoughts and words had such a direct effect on water. And then more startled when I realized, 'hey, i'm 3/4 water!';-)

It really still amazes me, so now I challenge myself each day to think thoughts of peace, and speak words of peace...Do actions of peace, create the causes of peace...the effects go on and on.

Yes I have read about it. I also notice that the orchid plant I have in my meditation room where I also chant often giving flowers easier than the ones in the other rooms.

I actually saw a video of this in one of our Spirituality classes. It was eye-opening to see the research in action. They had taken a few different cases: water was placed in containers, and each container had a different caption: "I love you" "Thank you" "You are beautiful" "The Chi of love" and then there was a last one that said: "I hate you, I will kill you". The different containers were photographed with a certain light-sensitive camera. The first few containers with the positive captions, displayed water crystals that were clear, with intricately designed forms and crystal-like. they all showed different designs, yet they were light. The last container's photo was yellow and black, and the picture of the water slightly resembled the chaos theory. That was quite something to observe. It's on YouTube, if I'm not mistaken: just type in 'water and consciousness'.
