Call For Partners – BRIDGE Fellowship

We are pleased to announce that Peace Revolution, an international youth project of the World Peace Initiative organization, plans to held a regional fellowship for young people from East Europe and Central Asia region targeting the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.. The fellowship is expected to take place in the first week of May 2015, in Georgia.

This is Peace Revolution’s first fellowship for Russian Speaking countries and the goal is to introduce the idea of inner peace and mindfulness through meditation to anyone who wants to know more about it, especially to young leaders. Meditation is a simple tool with immense benefits for overall well-being and can be practiced by anyone, regardless of age, race, religion or education. We are looking for suitable and competent local partners from this region.

What does the Fellowship aims?

We aim to have a 5 days residential retreat for young change-makers and/or young leaders as the target audience. The fellowship is expected to touch upon the themes listed below, however this can be improved or fine-tuned as per local requirement and objective of the partner organization. Here are some examples:

• Exploring the idea of self-development as a core foundation of world change
• Promoting tools of non-violent communication and peace-building that can be applied to all cultures, religions and professions
• Introducing practical methods of stress management and ways to develop emotional intelligence
• Introducing tools of inner peace and leadership skills through mindfulness, self-discipline and compassion
• Promoting happiness through inner peace
• Peace education and Conflict resolution tools

The language of communication will be English and Russian.

Other Peace Revolution fellowships have so far taken place in many regions worldwide, such as International fellowships in Thailand, European fellowships in Belgium, MENA Salam Fellowship in Morocco, Latin American Fellowship in Perú and African Youth AMANI Fellowship etc.

Profile of Partner Organizations:

This call is open to like-minded nonprofit, not-for-profit and non-governmental organizations from the BRIDGE region who are inspired by the idea of this event and wish to actively contribute to this training, either with sending representatives or proposing active youth. If you are interested in self-development, in the building capacity of the members of your organization, want to learn new tools to boost your personal and professional well-being, then this call is for you!

Thus, if you are a youth organization or NGO based in this region, with significant presence in the BRIDGE countries and areinterested to partner with us in organizing this fellowship, please contact us with information about your organization, target audiences, geographical presence and outreach along with your website and other contact details.

Financial aspects:

In our strive to be inclusive and offer opportunities to young people who are passionate about self-development through inner peace, we have managed to fundraise for this event so that at this point we are able to cover the following costs:

• Retreat fee
• Accommodation
• Catering
• partial support for airfare or ground transport for the selected participants, aged 18-30

What is Peace Revolution?

Peace Revolution is an international project which was started in Thailand in 2008 and is currently present worldwide, with two main offices in Thailand and United Kingdom. The project aims to empower young people through the use of inner peace tools. Peace Revolution offers a free online 42 days self-development program with a coach providing personal feedback to each participant on a daily basis. Also, every year we organize fellowships in Asia, South America, Africa, Middle-East and Europe, for those who want to learn more about inner peace tools and meditation. Over 12,000 people worldwide have completed the online self-development program along with a total of more than 30,000 users. Furthermore, over 330 young people from 88 countries have graduated from fellowships organized by Peace Revolution worldwide.
